Measturing the horse to choose the
saddle width
- Hold your horse standing square in a level ground.
- Take a 30 to 40 cm flexicurve measuring.
- Take a piece of chalk or tape.
When the horse has his head up, feel with your fingers the top edge of his scapula, and then mark a point with the chalk.
4 to 5 cm behind the highest point of his scapula, bend the flexicurve on this point over the withers.
Try to copy the exact contour of the wither squeezing the fexicurve to the horse.
Lift the flexicurve carefully, and trace the inside profile onto a paper.
